Our Saturday respite program based in Woodside Queens is designed for children with Autism, to reinforce the social, communication and language skills they learn during the week at school by giving them guidance in a less structured environment. Activities include art and craft, music, drawing, dancing, puzzles, board and video games. Field trips out of the community are planned based and offered as appropriate to the recreational interest of the child taking into account the full spectrum of the child’s ability to experience and participate in new activities. The number of sessions for this program is 17 to 18 sessions for the year depending on funding availability.
The program meets two Saturdays per month from 9:30-3:30. Transportation is provided with this program.
