Lifespire’s HR Department of Education and Training is committed to providing all employees, individuals, people we support, families and the community at large the necessary education and training tools to enhance learning as well as personal and professional growth. Lifespire holds all necessary trainer certifications to teach various regulatory courses developed by OPWDD. Lifespire uses Relias’ Learning Management Systems which includes OPWDD’s approved curricula to deliver all regulatory and mandated trainings to its employees. Lifespire’s advanced training system utilizes the state of the art blended learning as the most effective training method. Blended learning combines face to face classroom experience with individualized on-line learning which allows staff to control the time, pace and place of their learning experience.

All new employees are expected to provide all required employment documents, and attend and complete the Orientation training within their initial introductory period of 90 days of employment. There are numerous training tracks based on the employee’s title and assigned department. During Orientation, all new employees will receive a schedule of dates for all of their trainings according to their respective departments. Attendance at all Orientation and training sessions are required and punctuality is expected.
